Our In-Home Board & Train program is the perfect solution for pet parents who want a well-mannered, confident dog – but may not have the time, experience, or energy to do it alone. Whether you’re balancing a demanding career, raising young children, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’re here to make things easier for you and your pup.
This program is fully customized to your dog’s unique personality, behavior, and your training goals. No cookie-cutter plans here, we take the time to get to know your dog, understand their strengths and challenges, and design a strategic plan that fits your home and lifestyle.
Your puppy will live in the home of a certified professional trainer, receiving around-the-clock care, structure, and guidance. From day one, your pup is immersed in a supportive, enriching environment designed to build confidence and good habits through consistent, gentle, and effective training.

We’re based in Orange County but regularly work with families from Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. Because we only take a limited number of dogs at a time, your pup will receive focused, personalized care in a calm, enriching space.

Personalized, real-Life training, just for your puppy.
At Canine Learning Academy, we believe that great training starts with great care. That’s why our Board & Train program is intentionally small and personal, we accept a limited number of puppies at a time to ensure each one receives the individualized attention they need to thrive.
Your puppy will live with a CLA trainer and spend their days in our All-Day School, participating in customized training sessions, socialization, enrichment activities, and field trips that mimic real-world experiences. After school, they return to a warm, home environment, so the skills they learn are immediately reinforced in a setting just like yours.

Board & Train Program Requirements
To ensure a safe, healthy, and successful experience for all dogs in our care, please review the following requirements before your puppy’s stay:
Health Check: Your puppy must be in good health and free of contagious illness prior to boarding. If your dog has recently been sick, please notify us to reschedule. Must be flea/tick free.
Vaccinations:
- Puppies under 10 weeks must have received at least their first round of vaccinations and a clean bill of health from the vet.
- Puppies over 10 weeks should be up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. We do not require all series to be completed, but we do require proof of vet care and protection against serious illnesses.
- Must have had a fecal test done within the past year
Spay/Neuter: Unneutered and unspayed dogs are welcome. However, female dogs cannot attend if they are in heat.
Supplies: You’re welcome to send your puppy’s favorite comfort item, or blanket to help them feel at home, but it’s not required.
Food, Medication and Supplements: Please bring enough of your dog’s current food, treats, chews, medication and supplements for the duration of their stay. Keeping them on their regular diet helps avoid upset stomachs and supports better learning.
Forms & Waiver: To reserve your dog’s stay, all intake forms must be completed, including proof of up-to-date vaccinations and a recent veterinary check. Additionally, full payment of the invoice is required before your booking can be confirmed.
